Rock the Spectrum: An Autism Speaks Benefit Concert

On August 10, 2013, at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, Love Me Leave Me, Clockwork and DNA will put on a 3 hour show you won't soon forget, with all proceeds benefitting Autism Speaks. Tickets are $10 each for general admission, and are available from the Wildey Theatre website (www.wildeytheatre.com) or from any band members. The first 150 guests with any size donation will receive a Rock the Spectrum Concert t-shirt! An electric guitar signed by the bands (donated by Mojo’s Music of Edwardsville) will also be raffled off at the event. The proceeds from this event will directly benefit Autism Speaks' mission to change the future for all those who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. Enjoy an all age’s show and support this cause affecting 1 in 88 children.

Join us for this Rock Concert featuring three of the hottest young bands in the St. Louis/Nashville areas!

DNA, a band of brothers from Imperial MO, is currently based in Nashville and plays throughout the country. Influenced by legendary bands such as Queen and Muse, their mission is to create positive music that is lyrically and melodically refreshing.

With a sound and style all their own, Clockwork has perfected their live show through consistent touring throughout the Midwest, performing at such venues as Blueberry Hill (St. Louis), Goose Island (Chicago), and The Outland Ballroom (Springfield), as well as large scale festivals such as LouFest and Fair St. Louis. Clockwork has received radio airplay on over 150 mainstream and college radio stations throughout the United States and Canada, and have signed television licensing agreements for their music to be featured on MTV, E!, Discovery, Speed, and Lifetime television network programming. In 2013, Clockwork released a new 8 song album, titled Out To Sea. The album, recorded in St. Louis, Nashville, and Atlanta features many flavors of Clockwork, from mellow acoustic ballads to raucous electric goodness, and from thought provoking to absolute fun.

Love Me Leave Me is an Edwardsville Pop/Punk band playing covers and originals. Love Me Leave Me is unique in that it features both a male and female lead singer, and all band members are aged 15-18. After winning the Splash City Battle of the Bands last year, Love Me Leave Me won the regional battle in Champaign, IL, and took 2nd place at the Illinois State Fair in the Illinois Teen Battle of the Bands, out of 140 bands throughout the state. In addition, they earned 1st place at the PBC Battle of the Bands, took 2nd in the SIUE Battle of the Bands (only high school band competing), and then won the Pops Battle for Pointfest, playing at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre St. Louis in May, a highlight for the band.

The groups would like to thank the event sponsors, Ervin Cable Construction and Garrison Productions. The groups would also like to thank the t-shirt sponsors: Schuette Law Office, Bobby's Frozen Custard, Mojo's Music, St. Boniface Student Council, Hooves, Paws, and Claws 4H Club (HPC 4H), Pita Pit, Jan Zimerman of Weiss Insurance, the Cole-Zeck Family, Office Depot, The Prairie Land Buzz Magazine, Scott Credit Union, Bauer Hite Orthodontic Specialists and Christian Mayberry of rockthepits.com.
